It's a 20 beat pattern, for the musicians among you. We've also used an Arabian scale, a maqam, called Shehzaz Kurdi. We haven't attempted to make anything resembling music from the Arab world, however. Actually, we have no idea what kind of music this is and we expect this tune will be challenging for some for you.
The title is a literary reference and we'll let you dig deeper if you're interested.
